SPOTLIGHTED: Vian Hunter's House Of Fashion
With the return of the Blue Angels this past week and the standard Sea Fair bridge shut down, I ventured off my normal route cutting through the arboretum, taking a right on Madison towards downtown. On my way I was enchanted by store windows on Madison Street at Vian Hunter’s House of Fashion. Interpreting the clothing of the 50’s and 60’s, fashion designer Lisa Hunter channels vintage silhouettes into modern classics.
Lisa’s ready to wear collection is a captivating assortment of mid-century inspired clothing with a modern fit, in modern fabrics. Vian Hunters House of Fashion sells unique one-of-a-kind clothing inspired by vintage styles.
“Women have come to me for the past several years to have clothes that they wanted - but were unable to find - designed exclusively for them. The custom-design business is what inspired me to create my own collections. Today, women want to look and feel great. I seek out European fabrics that look and feel luxurious and design classic styles inspired by the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. To my clients, that kind of beauty is more important that senseless trendiness.”
Vian Hunter’s mid-century collections truly possess reminiscent feelings of feminine beauty. Seattle is certainly fortunate to have this wonderful fashion option.
