Seen at the Scene: Special Event at Seattle Design Center
On March 27th, the Seattle Design Center was host to a variety of interesting and inspired creations from ceramic. There was a jacket made from tiny pink butterflies and there were huge orange submarines that stretched the length of the room and reached to the ceiling. The creations were beautiful, simple, meaningful, thought-provoking, political, practical, and colorful, but most of all they were extremely creative. Attendees of the event enjoyed viewing the pieces throughout the Design Center while sipping on drinks and snacking on bite-sized foods. Artists wandered about the exhibits, sometimes hovering near their work, sometimes blending in with attendees. SPOTLIGHTseattle and Team Photogenic were there too, documenting the evening and catching glimpses of the talented creators.
