Washington Wines Make a 2nd Annual Trip Down to Portland
As expected, Taste Washington turned out to be an absolute success last month as over 200 Washington wineries uncorked their award-winning bottles. Not only was there copious collections of Washington’s finest wines, but they were paired with savory dishes served by top local restaurateurs and caterers around Seattle. Sadly, this 2-day extravaganza flew by in a sip of a wine. But we are in luck as The Washington State Wine Commission presents the 2nd annual Taste Washington Portland on Monday, April 23.
Washington State is nationally acclaimed as the second largest premium wine producer in the U.S. with 700+ wineries pouring glasses of nothing but consistently amazing quality and great value. And now, events like Taste Washington Portland will help garner a greater reputation for the wine industries in both Washington and Oregon. Taste Washington has been a success in Seattle for 15 years and will be heading down to the Rose City for the second time to offer Portland’s trade and consumers a unique downtown tasting event. Taste Washington Portland will feature 75 Washington wineries dispensing their outstanding juices to compliment delectable bites from a carefully selected medley of Portland’s finest restaurants and culinary artisans.
Renowned Washington wineries will be serving a variety of wines from Merlot to Cabernet and Riesling to Rosé to accompany mouth-watering eats from some of Portland’s top eateries including Metrovino, Laurelhurst Market, Bar Avignon, Wildwood, Cheese Bar, Chop Butchery, Alma Chocolate, and Saint Cupcake. This highly anticipated event is taking place at Pure Space in the Pearl District of Portland.
