Kentucky Derby Party—“The Run for the Roses”
The Kentucky Derby is America’s original, extravagant springtime sports party with dozens of amassed traditions that have captured the hearts of Derby fans worldwide. While a horse race is at the heart of the spectacle, there are various aspects of America’s Race that we can all take part in and celebrate right here in the Seattle area!
The Junior League of Seattle invites you to don your best Derby attire and come out for a day at the races during their 7th Annual Kentucky Derby Party on May 5th! You will start the wonderful day off right at Re:Public Restaurant & Bar with a complementary brunch, drink specials, live entertainment, and a professional photographer to capture your Derby best. After indulging in delicious food and showing off attires, you can enjoy mint juleps to set the mood for great races during the bus ride down to Emerald Downs.
After the festivities come to an end at Emerald Downs, the buses will return to Re:Public for an after party you won’t want to miss! We can all enjoy the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” whether or not we choose to raise the stakes high—Come out and bring all t he Derby in you!
