On Friday, May 25, Wine Educator and Sommelier Dieter Schafer invites you to taste “Five to Six” wines from Washington and France that have been carefully paired with delectable hors d’oeuvres. Join Schafer for this Rose Tasting event from “Five to Six” PM—and perhaps dinner as well—while enjoying the breathtaking view of Elliott Bay from the fifth-floor Portfolio Restaurant.

Dieter is a certified hospitality educator and trainer who possesses over 40 years of restaurant experience and currently provides fine dining & wine education for consumers. He not only guides you through the tasting but he will speak about the wines’ grape varieties, the local viticultural areas and French appellations where the wines come from. You will be able to savor and learn palate-pleasing combinations of food & wine, and more!

The Portfolio Restaurant is located at The Art Institute of Seattle North Campus and serves as an educational dining lab for culinary its art students. Open to the public, the restaurant presents a tempting menu of fine-dining courses emphasizing fresh seasonal favorites.
