Buon appetito! It is widely known that leisurely dining with friends and family is embraced by the Italians and their culture. If you're not in Rome, but rather Seattle, you can now create a similar experience with the help of my friend, Chef Lorenzo Cianciusi.
Recognized for years in this community as the owner and Chef of the former Sostanza Trattoria Restaurant, Chef Lorenzo has created another business to share his Italian Hospitality. Recognizing the retro trend of in-home entertaining, Chef Lorenzo has created Strictly Italian, where he continues to dish out his creative and masterful skill in the kitchen but now in the convenience of your own home.
A first generation Canadian from Toronto originally, Chef Lorenzo learned his appreciation of food, love and entertaining from his Mother, who was his mentor. Under her tutelage, Lorenzo learned the difference between a roma and heirloom tomato and could be trusted to go to the garden to pick out the best radicchio at age 5. Growing up in a home where the kitchen was the heart and the love language was food, Chef Lorenzo shares that same international language at private dinner parties, hors d' oeuvres parties, private cooking classes and wine tastings.
Sostanza Trattoria in Madison Park was known in our region and beyond for it's commitment to authentic Nothern Italian fare. For over 15 years Sostanza served as the premier destination restaurant for celebrations, romance and making memories over sumptuous Italian dishes. What a unique opportunity to enjoy Chef Lorenzo's personal classic adaptations while spoiling our guests!
