Wrapping Up Merry
Holiday Greetings friends! Time is flying and 2015 has been a whirlwind! It started off in Belize and will wind down in Aruba. In between there was trips to Bordeaux, Istanbul, Costa Rica, Venice, Phuket, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai! Lots of people, places and moments I will remember for a lifetime.
I had always dreamed of summering in Europe when I turned 50. It didn't exactly work out because of a busy work schedule, but I did get to travel to Bordeaux for a week of Wine tasting and brought back an incredible appreciation for the wine making in this region. Now the dream is to go back and spend some more time in this beautiful city.
Some family updates, Alec is now turning 21 (!!) and is his 3rd year of College at Oberlin in Ohio. He is enjoying his classes and is majoring in Politics and Government and will be looking for internships soon. Aside from a knee injury in football received last year, he was able to get back on the field this year and enjoy another season. I can't believe he will graduate from College next year. He is exploring going to law school, we'll see where life takes my sweet boy.
We had an addition to the family this year in the way of another furry friend (or sister) to Val. Harley, a mix of French bulldog and Boston Terrier has been quite a delight and full of mischief. She has definitely brought some energy to the household. She had her first birthday on 11/11.
In between the dogs and travel, there was lots of business. We had our best year in Real Estate and our beautiful city sees no slow down in people moving here to enjoy the life we as Northwesterns appreciate. I was able to partake in some substantial transactions and travel to meet clients across the globe. Our Sotheby's Realty family grew and I had the pleasure of visiting offices in 5 different countries. My niece Lauren joined the team as my assistant, watch out to see more of her this coming 2016!
As you may know housing the homeless is very important to me through my involvement with Plymouth Housing and Celebrity waiters. This year as co-chair of the Seattle celebrity Luncheon, we raised a record amount of over 600k for the Millionair Club in Seattle, which supports getting homeless people back into the workforce by retraining and finding them jobs. They have been increbly successful and as we have noticed in Seattle lately, very needed.
I want to thank you for touching my life and being a part of it, no matter if it was for a heartfelt conversation over coffee or some wine over dinner, you make a difference in my life. My clients become my friends and I am lucky to count you as one of them. I wake up everyday and feel so appreciative and blessed. I have wonderful friends, family and health, a positive attitude of gratitude for all the opportunities in this business and in my life.
I love connecting with people. If you have interest in discussing travel, or real estate for a possible second or third home location, let's meet for conversation over good coffee
